Home Depot Hours on Weekdays, Sundays and Holidays
Most Home Depot stores are open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Sundays run shorter, usually 7 or 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Home Depot hours are set store by store, and the company’s 2026 holiday schedule closes every store on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Home Depot Store Hours by Day
| Day | Typical hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Friday | 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. |
| Saturday | 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. |
| Sunday | 7 or 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
These are the hours most often listed on Home Depot’s own store pages. Your store’s page shows its exact times.
What time Home Depot opens and closes
Home Depot opens at 6 a.m. at most stores from Monday through Saturday, and at 7 or 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Closing time is 10 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. on Sundays. A handful of big-city stores close earlier, which the next section covers.
Saturday has one extra worth knowing. On the first Saturday of each month, the free Home Depot Kids Workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon, three hours after most stores open.
Hours at Your Local Home Depot
Each Home Depot sets its own schedule. The store a mile away can open an hour earlier than the one across town.
Home Depot’s store pages show how wide the range runs. Staten Island and Long Island City in New York both list 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
In Texas, the Montgomery store keeps the same weekday hours but waits until 8 a.m. to open on Sundays.
Big-city stores are the real outliers. Home Depot’s Midtown Manhattan location lists 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, an hour shorter at both ends than a typical suburban store.
Overnight shopping isn’t part of any standard schedule. Most stores lock up at 10 p.m., and homedepot.com is the after-hours option.
How to check your store’s hours
- Choose your store on homedepot.com or in the Home Depot app. The next opening or closing time shows beside the store name.
- Open the store’s page for the full week, including curbside hours where they differ.
- Check the corporate holiday schedule before any holiday, since holiday hours replace the regular ones for that day.
I treat 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. as a good guess rather than a promise. If a trip depends on the first or last hour of the day, the ten seconds on the store page are worth it.
Home Depot Sunday Hours
Sunday is the short day. Most stores open at 7 or 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., which works out to 12 or 13 hours instead of the usual 16.

That 8 p.m. close is the one that catches people halfway through a weekend project. Make the last supply run before dinner.
Sunday is also the day stores differ most. Some open at 7 and others at 8, so it’s the morning when checking your own store’s page saves a wasted drive.
Tool Rental, Curbside and Customer Service Hours
The Tool Rental Center keeps the same hours as the store it sits in, and it’s open seven days a week.

That desk also handles Load ‘N Go truck rentals, so your store’s opening time is the earliest you can drive off with a truck. Home Depot’s tool rental FAQ covers the rest of the rental rules.
Curbside pickup can run on a shorter clock. The Santa Clara, California, store page lists curbside from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., well inside the store’s regular hours.
Phone help outlasts every store. Home Depot’s online customer care line, 1-800-430-3376, answers from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern, seven days a week, and closes on Christmas Day.

The national line is built for homedepot.com orders. For a question about one store’s hours or stock, call the store itself. Home Depot prints that number at the top of its store receipts.
Home Depot Holiday Hours 2026
Home Depot’s 2026 schedule closes stores on only two days, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Everything else is either regular hours or a shortened day.

Easter is the date people get wrong. Plenty of sites say Home Depot closes on Easter Sunday, but the 2026 schedule had stores open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The year-end changes come quickly. Stores open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, then run 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on New Year’s Day 2027.
The 6 a.m. Black Friday start is the same time most stores open on any weekday, so it isn’t the early-bird event it is at some retailers. The Thanksgiving week schedule has the day-by-day hours, and the full list sits on Home Depot’s holiday hours page.
